A Proper Introduction

My name is Loris, or Sir Loris, as she called me. As for a surname, I hadn't found one yet. Or maybe knights don't always need surnames. But I did have a task—a simple one, in theory. I was supposed to be introduced to someone. This might not sound like a great adventure. People meet new people all the time without much prep. Still, introductions hold a strange importance. Until properly introduced, you can be mistaken for anything.

While the plan seemed to be working. He found me. He picked me up. He was looking at me very carefully. A proper introduction. Or at least what I assume one is. The trouble with introductions is they're never complete. Someone sees a helmet, a posture, a piece of armor. Rarely do they notice what you hoped they would first.

I needed to find myself first. At least, it seemed sensible. You should probably know who you are before being introduced.
